English Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Paddy Pimblett has backed his MMA colleague Nate Diaz in a fight with Jake Paul saying that the latter will never become a boxing champion.

Jake Paul — brother of Logan Paul, has only lost one out of seven fights in his boxing career and has shown a desire of becoming a champion at some point.

However, Pimblett has hoped for a heavy victory for his MMA colleague saying: “I hope Diaz batters him.”

While the 28-year-old predicted that Paul would never make it big in boxing, but he also admitted that he will keep on doing successful events.

“He’s still going to sell pay-per-views. It doesn’t matter how good he is, he’s still going to sell those pay-per-views and make money and that’s all that matters to him,” he added.

"He knows, he’ll never be a champion, never be a champion of the world, so he’ll earn as much money as he can. I think he’s smart, I’ve talked to him. But he wouldn’t know what a real fight was.”

Diaz finished his contract with the UFC after a win against Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 279 on September 11, 2022, and is now all set to test himself in the boxing ring.

The 38-year-old made his UFC debut in 2007 against Manny Gamburyan with a win. He then went on a five-match winning streak before finally tasting his first defeat in the Octagon at the hands of Clay Guida in January 2009 at UFC 94.
